These terms cover your use of BaseBound: the app at app.basebound.app, the iOS and Android apps, and this website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use BaseBound.
BaseBound is not medical advice
BaseBound is a game built around your own activity, nutrition and sleep. Scores, targets, plans and suggestions are for motivation, not medical, nutritional or training advice. Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise program or diet, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are injured. Listen to your body and stop if something hurts. You take part in any activity at your own risk.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough in your country to agree to these terms yourself or with a parent's or guardian's permission.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your login to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. That permanently removes your logged data, posts and uploads. Leagues you created pass to another member.
Playing fair
Leaderboards and leagues only work if everyone's numbers are real. Don't enter activity you didn't do, use tools to fake data, or exploit bugs to gain points. We may adjust scores, remove you from leaderboards or leagues, or suspend accounts that do. Points, levels, badges, power cards and wagers are part of the game only. They have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money.
What you post
- You keep ownership of the photos, videos, comments and other content you share. You give BaseBound permission to store and show it to the people you choose to share it with, only to run the app.
- Don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that you don't have the right to share, and don't impersonate anyone.
- You can report posts and comments in the app. We review reports and may remove content or accounts that break these rules.
Paid plans
Some features need a paid subscription. In the iOS and Android apps, subscriptions are bought and managed through the App Store or Google Play, and their terms cover billing, renewals and refunds. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Any free trial turns into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then. Prices are shown before you buy.
Changes and availability
We're constantly improving BaseBound, so features may change or be removed. We'll try to keep the app running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. If we make significant changes to these terms, we'll let you know in the app or by email before they take effect.
Ending your use
You can stop using BaseBound and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other people at risk.
Disclaimers and liability
BaseBound is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, BaseBound is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for injuries or health problems related to activities you choose to do, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
